The Challenge

Academy Pro was born out of frustration. A network of 67 educational institutes was bleeding $40,000 annually on a bloated, legacy school management system. It was slow, hard to use, and lacked a unified mobile experience for parents and teachers.

They needed a complete rewrite—a modern, multi-tenant SaaS that could handle student records, fee management, academic reporting, and staff payroll, all while being significantly more cost-effective.

The Solution

Instead of hiring a massive agency that would take six months and hundreds of thousands of dollars to deliver a prototype, they hired Make Real.

I architected and delivered a complete end-to-end platform.

Key Features Delivered

• Multi-Tenant Architecture: Secure data isolation for 67 distinct schools under one centralized admin dashboard.
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Distinct permissions and views for Super Admins, School Principals, Teachers, and Parents.
• Financial Engine: Automated fee tracking, receipt generation, and real-time revenue reporting.
• Companion Mobile App: A Flutter-based iOS and Android app providing push notifications, attendance tracking, and instant communication between parents and teachers.

Engineering

• Tests: Tenant-isolation and RBAC permission checks on the critical paths (school records, fees, and role gates) before launch.
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions for Next.js production builds plus Flutter pipelines to iOS and Android.
• Security: Per-tenant data isolation, encrypted credentials, session management, and least-privilege roles (super admin / principal / teacher / parent).
• Deployment: Production web app at academypro.live plus companion mobile apps. Still in daily use at 67 schools.

By leveraging Next.js, MongoDB, and Flutter, I was able to share business logic across the web platform and mobile app, drastically reducing development time. The result was a lightning-fast, intuitive application that required zero onboarding training for the staff.
